The Martin Agency Art Director 1996-1998
This is an amazing business. I often feel so lucky to have found it. Every day we have the opportunity to shape culture, create change and influence the world around us.
Nearly 20 years ago I stepped into the Martin Agency in Richmond, Virginia and started working on Mercedes Benz. I had graduated with a double major in English and Art and as I looked around I just couldn’t believe how fortunate I was to be there.
Throughout my career I've been lucky enough to collaborate with incredibly talented people, learn from some of the best and see my work appear in 14 languages and in 35 countries. I’ve had commercials on the Superbowl, done takeovers of Times Square and have put my talents to use in digital and social to help make a difference in the world.
I’ve worked with a crazy array of people including Giselle Bundchen, Venus Williams, Joe Montana, Bill Curtis, Sylvester Stallone, and even Mini Me. And I have been fortunate to work on some amazing brands, including: Mercedes Benz, AT&T, Unilever, Sprint, Accenture, Bank of America, Beringer Wine, Coca-Cola, The National Parks Foundation, United States Tennis Association, GE, Togos Sandwiches, Wrangler and Lincoln Automotive.
Over the years, I've discovered that creativity with a healthy dose of optimism can overcome almost any obstacle, that attitude counts as much as talent and that great ideas require insight, collaboration and a team effort.
As a creative, I love to see my ideas capture the essence of the brand. As a creative director, there's nothing better than laying the foundation for truly game-changing work. But perhaps what I am most proud of are the relationships I have built with my clients - helping push their brands to new levels and watch their success grow and take shape.
I currently live in Princeton, NJ with my wife, two daughters and my dog Carlos.
